Tonight a fraternity on my campus is hosting their annual Menage-a-tau date party. Every member gets to invite two girls who dress in minimal clothing with maximum sex appeal. A few of my friends are attending and I am finally at the point where I just want to scream, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? You are young, beautiful women with so much potential. Your family would be so ashamed of your decisions (and choice of negligee). Think about your actions. Think about those consequences. Don’t let go of your true values. Just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t mean it is okay. Don’t ever forget that.
Happiness is nothing more than good health and a bad memory.
Another weekend has come and gone too fast. This week will be a calm one compared to most, thankfully I don’t have any exams or events to attend. I’m looking forward to getting caught up on some work and maybe even start exploring new employment options.
I’m beginning to start gathering books to read during my Thanksgiving break; what books would you suggest for me to read? I’m eager to come across some hidden treasures and reinvigorate my imagination.
My goal for this week is to become completely caught up in every class while still remaining social. Sometimes I find it challenging to succeed in school and be a good friend at the same time. I hope to practice achieving that balance and find what works for me as a friend and student. What plans do you have for this week? Any goals for yourself?
Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.
